Anybody been riding lately? Or are we all glued to the radio...

Or Teeee-Veeee or the Internets....

I went for a 22-miler yesterday. Needed to back away and avoid going into information overload.

Used the time to mull over how to compose a letter to my Congresscritter that didn't use the phrase "Testicles in a Teacup".....

Oh, 22 in 1:45, BTW....

1. I last rode on Thursday
but will be back at it tomorrow when I attempt to do both legs of my commute in one day, instead of the one-way commute that is currently "messed up" by Labor Day. :) It takes me about 1:30 to do the 14.5 miles so that will be three hours of cycling tomorrow! Should go a long way toward further breaking in my Brooks. :)

2. You really rock.
Has anybody told you that lately?
Newbie to 14.5-mile commuter w/a Brooks saddle in one summer.
Awesome!

3. Gosh, thanks, BigJawn!
But it's because of information and especially support that I initially found here when this group formed. Y'all made me feel like I could do it! Thanks! :hi:

4. After dealing with surgery and bad bout of asthma
I'm finally back in the saddle again. I rode 65 miles yesterday and hope to get in a centrury before the season ends. We'll see.

It actually made me depressed not to be able to ride.

I'm up to about 100 mi/week and if I miss more than a few days, *I* don't even want to be around me

I've been riding everywhere. Work, errands, etc. Though I do have a century I need to get ready for.

8. Started commuting a few days a week
Half riding/half bus. I would ride the whole way but the two roads I have as options are way to dangerous. I hate riding past those little memorials on the side of the road.

9. My 15 mile "half commutes" have been challenging me
I ride home from work one day and ride back the next morning. I am kind of tired.

10. Yep.
I'm lucky to have a house on the edge of a forest. My daily forest ride is 17 miles, 1700 feet of climbing, and it takes 1 hour 50 minutes. And there's a ripping hellraiser of a downhill that always ends with a huge grin.

But today I feel lost. I'm tired. I'm sad. I miss the days of riding with friends. But tomorrow will be another day. Hopefully things will look up.

11. I biked to work a couple of weeks ago.
Since everyone else at the residence was vacationing, I took the opportunity biking to work. I loved it. Though it made one long-ass day...leaving at 0515 and arriving home at 1830.
