I haven't had a smoke in 2 months now. I'm 60 and have smoked for 40 years.

and clicked on the "Use the Lung Cancer Risk Assessment Tool Online"

said my chances of croaking from lung cancer is now about 7%.
I was sure it'd be 50 or 60%

Was easy to stop this time. every time I smoked one it felt like some one was kicking me in the chest. No smokes, no pain. Saw my doctor a month ago, scared to death it was too late and she said my lungs and heart are fine. Feel great.

1. Cancer isn't the only worry

I smoked for almost 20 years and quit. I am glad to hear that you and I both stopped in time.

Thanks for that encouragement. Thought I'd come to the end of my life wearing an oxygen tank for my COPD, with a cig hanging out of my mouth!!I'm almost two weeks into ridding my body of this poison I used to enjoy!

3. I'm still hooked on the gum

I have cut back from the 4mg pieces to just biting off half of a 2mg piece. Doc said not to worry about the gum. My GF smokes and a few days ago I took a drag off of one of hers and about died coughing from one toke. I'm done with the smoke.
