Amended return because of corrected 1099

[question everything]

I finished our income tax last Friday. I had all the paperwork, all the calculations, decided to go ahead and finish it on TurboTax.

And yesterday I received that dreaded corrected 1099: some qualified dividends are now "Nondividend distributions."

This means that for a difference of $16 in refund I will have to file an Amended Return?

I am not going back to TruboTax. I think that I will wait until after April 15 and then file a paper return and will send a check for $16.00.

I kinda remember some warning about these items in previous years, that brokerage houses were confused about qualified dividends. I wish that they had at least emailed me alerting me that a corrected 1099 was on its way.

Sigh.
