This thing is dropping fast with all of the investigations and impropriety. I certainly hope nobody here owns it.

My personal opinion after watching this closely is that the problems are probably even deeper than they admit to right now. Greenberg had all of those Bahamanian organizations set up for a long time and they own 16% of all of the common stock. This is such a contorted mess of a company.

1. I don't think AIG will be hurt that much . . ..

it's an enormous company and I imagine it will continue. Lots of people own it in their mutual funds.

2. They will survive, but they are a lousy investment right now.

Lord knows what the investigations will bring. I agree that they are so large that it is highly unlikely they will go under, but they could be hurt just like Tyco.

3. I bought some AIG at around 68 around 2 months ago

with it now at 52.76. my broker is thinking I should buy some more. I would prefer to sell and take the loss, then see what happens. What do you all think? :hi: :hug:
