Want weather forecast maps with the fronts and the highs and lows
I know aviation maps have predictions of tomorrow's fronts' locations and days beyond that. I wish that sites like www.weather.com would put those up also, so I can tell if the weather is front-related, convection, lake-effect, etc. Typically, they just put up a map with predicted rain areas to cover the next seven days of weather.

The best I have found was at http://www.wunderground.com/ but even those are insufficient. Any ideas?

1. Is this what you mean?
The Storm Machine

Let me know if it isn't and I'll look further.

3. Weather Maps
As a retired weather forecaster I still have to have my daily weather fix. Don't know exactly what you are looking for but here is the site I use for maps of precip, fronts and QFP. There are also many discussions.

www.hpc.ncep.noaa.gov/html/fcsttxt.html

If you want to check out the local forecast reasoning the NWS has a site to click on an area you are interested in and find the forecast discussion. The site has links to severe storm, hurricane and many other NWS sites.

www.nws.noaa.gov/

These two sites should keep you busy.

4. Hi and welcome to DU!!
Thanks for the links. Half of which I don't understand, but I love the stuff I do.

If I were to return to college someday, I would go to be a meteorologist.
