The photos are awesome. What a terrible hurricane Camille was. She lives in legends here in Mississippi. For instance, I recall hearing that Camille broke the anemometer at 210 MPH! So she was at least that strong. 909 mb. pressure. 25 ft. surge. 250 dead, some bodies never recovered.

She was a fearsome hurricane.

1. Yeah, you can still see the slabs of foundations

Of ex-houses along the waterfront. That one boat in the picture is still lodged on the beach and is a gift shop. At least, I think it's still there. I haven't driven towards Pass Christian since I moved down here.
