How common is 'golf ball' and 'baseball' sized hail?

Anybody know where to find historic hail/high wind records?

1. Just was speaking of this with my family

Several family members gathered this weekend. My bro from Des Moines and my nephew from Bowling Green. We all have been whacked by big hail this spring. We all felt it highly unusual. I am facing a possibility of small hail and wind tonight. If you find the info, let me know. I'll be looking too.
