Embarrassingly, I did not realize this group existed. If I had known, I would have been here much earlier. I have been fortunate in that I have been able to track down much of my family tree either on-line or through distant cousins, aunts, uncles, and close relatives. I thought my first post here could be some pictures of some distant relatives. I love these old pictures. Again, I am fortunate to have been able to collect these over the years. One of my uncles still has more that I am eventually going to get a hold of and scan.
To start....
These are my paternal great great grandparents and their family. My great grandfather is the second one on the first row moving from right to left. My great great grandparents are the ones on the far left, first row obviously. This is from Ft. Worth, Texas.
This very beautiful woman is again on my father's side, but this time it is his mother's grandmother so my great, great grandmother from her side. This photo is from Mississippi.
The family legend is that she is related to James Fenimore Cooper since her maiden name is Cooper but I have not been able to track that down.
On my mom's side of the family, these are her grandparents, my great grandparents posing for wedding pictures.
Here are the same two many years later with nine children. My grandfather is the baby in picture. This picture is from Piedras Negras, Mexico.
Here is a picture of the father of the my great grandmother, the same one from above, in Redruth, Cornwall, England before he moved his family to Scranton, PA, then to Mexico.
I have lots more to share, but this is a start.
