My missing cousin. The rest of the story.
We had a family reunion in Nebraska over the 4th of July. There was much discussion about my cousin who disappeared in 1931. http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=view_all&address=331x1548

Apparently he had some connection with the local mob. It was his families belief that he had got into some trouble with them and they had him killed. I guess he knew what was coming down and ran for his life. I probably would have done the same.

1. MAN, what a cool story!
Wish I could find some more of those for my book...

We had a guy who deserted his wife in Illinois and headed out to Nebraska (we think) to live near his brother. I'd love to exhume a skeleton and do a DNA test with a current cousin! That'd be cool.
