10. Very distinguished
I gather he was a soldier in the Mexican Revolution. Which side, Federales, or Revolutionaries?

Half of my family emigrated to California as well.

Thank you for sharing the photo.

20. It looked like the right period for the Mexican Revolution
Of 1910, but at 4 years old would have been a bit too young. Sorry.

So he was a soldier in which armed forces, Mex or US?

And what period?

6. Great pictures of a nice looking family.
You're very lucky to have them. And the white dress and shoes in the bottom picture are fascinating. I love to look at old clothes.

7. Here's a pic with my GGgrandfather in it

He's on the bottom row, 7th from the left, the guy with the white beard, looking straight at the camera, Robert Arthur.

Very interesting to see other people's old photos too!

22. My Great-Grandfather and Grandfather...

NOTE! This was taken in 1898, LONG AFTER slavery was abolished! My Great-Grandfather is the mustachioed fellow in the middle, my Grandfather is the blurry infant on the porch.
