If This Really Happened I Am Sad
They are saying this elderly lady ripped a sign from the hands of a young Obama supporter. Looking at her photo, I feel a real sadness. Perhaps, she feels that her final dream, of seeing a woman president, is being ripped away?

I'm only 50 years old. So I don't feel the pressure as some of my elders do. I want Hillary to win, but I can wait.... another 20 or 30 years for Chelsea. ;-)

1. It was probably a Clinton rally and the girl stuck her BO sign
up next to her. I probably wouldn't do it, but I know I'd be hot under the collar. When Hill was here last week my friend could hardly hear Hillary because of some McCain guy next to her chatting to someone. People kept shushing him and he kept talking so my 5'2" 100lb. teacher friend turned and scolded him like one of her students.

2. I need to know what transpired this event
Old ladies do not go out ripping signs from younger ones just for the fun of it.

3. I don't know what happened here, but it appears that the younger woman in the black
sweater is laughing and the expression on the older woman's face doesn't look like anger to me. Maybe the whole thing has been misrepresented.

5. I don't know the context of the picture
but the younger woman is laughing and doesn't look exactly angry at the older woman. Whatever is happening, that little old woman is adorable!

a little under the gun to get Hillary elected. It really frustrates me that she's been thrown under the bus by the good ol' boys in the democratic party.

8. So after supporting the advancement of women her whole life...
...she is angry or sad because two young women don't understand why it is necessary to do so.

9. Neither women look angry. It
looks to me like the older woman may have lost her balance and maybe grabbed the sign while trying to steady herself.

12. The story behind the picture:
That picture was taken at West Lafayette (IN) High School during the visit from Bill Clinton last week. A woman (on the left) and her daughter are Obama supporters and were among those who got in. The girl (early teens) was wearing an Obama sticker and the woman was holding a small Obama sign. The woman on the right became furious at the sight of the Obama support -- she grabbed the young girl and ripped the sticker off her shirt, took the sign from her mother, and started tearing it apart. The Hillary supporters in the immediate vicinity cheered on the older woman.
