at the ND Dem-NPL Convention. Apparently they liked Hillary better (too bad the caucus turned out the way it did back in February).Inspiration in the eyes of the Democratic beholdersJoseph Marks Grand Forks Herald

Inspiration was the word of the day at the Alerus Center when North Dakota Dem-NPL conventioneers described Friday night’s speeches by Democratic presidential rivals Sens. Barack Obama, D-Ill., and Hillary Clinton, D-N.Y.
But the definition of inspiration differed with the candidate. Obama’s inspiration was rousing, almost overwhelming, conventioneers said. Clinton’s inspiration was softer, quieter, more personal and more focused on detailed solutions.
“I was surprised that I was more inspired by Hillary’s speech than by Obama’s,” said Eliot Glassheim, a Democratic state legislator and Grand Forks City Councilman. “Obama could bring you out of your seat three or four times during a speech. But Hillary listed 25 items and said what she was going to do and had a detailed analysis of each one. I felt myself saying, ‘yes, that’s right, yes, that’s right, each time.”
<snip>“People made so much of Obama being inspirational,” she said. “I had high expectations and he didn’t quite measure up. She came across in person a lot better than she does on TV. I felt more genuineness and more humanness, I guess.”
