Why She's My Girl
We have been this route before, all of us, choosing a president because we "like" him or her. We saw it in polls were people "like" GWB because they would "most like" to sit down and have a beer with him, more than they would "like" sitting down and having a beer with John Kerry. We "like" ole George because after all, he's just one of the good ole boys. We "like" ole George because he's just oh so charming. I think we all know where the "like" has led us these last 7 years. So hold onto your panties, ladies, because I don't want charm, or charisma, or sweet talk, or smooth talk, or "I can raise more money than you." I don't need a president who thinks he can reach his charming hand across the aisle to a bunch of old white haired men to compromise or unify red states with blue states. I need a president who will never compromise me to the Republican machine, I need a president no one will sit down and have a beer with, I need a president who is smarter than I am, I need a president with experience, I need a fighter, not a unifier, I need a go getter, not a smooth talker, I need a president who knows which buttons to push, who will push them and pounce on anybody who gets in her way, I don't need a president who will sit down with Raul Castro for tea and crumpets, I need one willing to kick his ass if it is needed. She's my girl because she can and will do all of the above, not because I always "like" her personality.

1. I believe Hillary will get things done
She is a fighter and I believe she will try to get as much done as she can. Obama, I don't really picture him going in and fighting to get things done. He seems to me like he'd be a little wishy-washy. Talk a lot, not do much. His lack of foreign policy experience worries me, especially when it comes to the GE and being up against McCain.

I'm not old enough to really remember any first ladies pre-Hillary (I turned 19 on the day of the 1992 election), except that Barbara Bush was made fun of for her looks and she wasn't very nice. And maybe I don't know enough or remember enough but Hillary tried to DO something as first lady. She didn't sit around and bake cookies like Laura. It may not have worked out, but she tried. I knew she was a fighter then.

2. Agree. To actually propose Univ. Health Care then was forward-looking for the US...
...and still I see comments about how bad it was that she did that!

So she did it in a not-perfect way, but see how everyone is just NOW jumping on that bandwagon to UHC! And who started it all those years ago?

I just love HRC the more I get to know her. Tough and smart cookie, and one I'd love to have on my side.

5. Yes, but you don't hear that important little tidbit from the MSM, do you?
I am just beyond disgusted with the widespread anti-Hillary tone everywhere, and of course, DU has been infected for a while now.

4. I don't know where I just heard this - but -
some pundit was saying that Hillary is still here.
They knock her down, but she stays strong.

She is a fighter and that is one of the main reasons I support her.
She seems to have that spine that Dems keep looking for.
