...received right after his '04 Dem Convention speech, which impressed a lot of people in media (but not me, who thought he was a fake already then)?

I can't seem to find any news item about that, but do recall him being invited to the WH then. That promptly got me suspicious about the genuineness of his Dem candidacy.

Anyone else recall this? What was your reaction to it, if so?

3. I recall that shortly after the theft of 2004,

Obama spoke of having dinner with Karl Rove and Bush in an appearance on the Tonight Show. (They invited him and he accepted.)
