Personally I'm not surprised the kid in the Hillary ad supports Obama. She is the typical
maturity level OF the Obama supporters. At least she has an excuse. She is a kid so it is OK to think like one.

1. Peer pressure takes its toll, at least in some cases.
It's the cool and hip thing to do. Methinks the Madison Avenue psychological training from years of exposure since babyhood has truly left its mark on a lot of these kids. After all, I find BO to be just a prime example of slick packaging of an empty vessel.

Then there's also this - and I say this without jest - have they found their religion in BO? I wonder if there's a spiritual void in the lives of some of them. It might just be anecdotal evidence, but isn't it interesting that some self-avowed atheists speak of BO like a messiah, too - for example, Bill Maher?

Did you see one of those videos on the supporter-created website, 'Hillary Speaks For Me' - submitted by ordinary people? In one of them, the young woman behind the camera asks the earnest young man in front of it why he supports BO, and the guy can't say anything more substantial than, 'He speaks to my soul...it's inside me'. This is a perfect example of the religious cultish nature of their adoration.

2. Exactly. It is the same high those mega church worshippers get from whipping themselves into a
frenzy.

3. Mass hysteria - yup. Online version, too, esp. on DU. Ecch. Scary, because...
...they can be manipulated into doing a lot of bad, bad things - and now some have threatened violence at the convention if these hypnotised babies don't get what they want. Their great leader has started to show signs of a temper tantrum when things don't go his way - like the press conf. that he walked out of after he says he already answered a barrage of - eight questions.

5. Yeah those still waters run deep. It's all an act. Kind of like McCain who is simmering too.

9. Problems with anger management. Hill is so disciplined - more reason I want her as CIC.
Don't think she loses her cool under pressure like the other two. Just watching her in the debates, in interviews proves that abundantly.

18. Peer pressure and media hype
with the American Idol factor at
play.

You are definitely onto something with
many supporters filling the lack of
spirituality in their lives. That is
something I will definitely ponder on.
We all need something to believe in.

6. Geez, a Clinton-O ticket, you mean?
Not improbable, considering Bill has also dropped similar hints. Dunno if I'd like that, but the Clintons are more pragmatic people than I am. So long as C takes the top of the ticket.

8. I do think the 'how dare she-run for prez' does still play a large role in ...
...why many resent her candidacy.

All hysteria no substance.

19. Also typical of youthful unprofessionalism.
If I were a commercial producer, I would reconsider heavily using this young woman for any product of mine in the future. She may have stated her preference for Obama over her employer, but she may have also screwed up her comercial career.
