is actually more of a self interested politico than Hillary and a product of machine politics. A man named Jones, who was in the Illinois State house decided to make himself a "US Senator and during Bracks last year in the state senate credited him with other peoples work to build up his resume. They were passed because that was the only year they has a dem majority. Much bitterness still exists on the part of the legislators whose work was stolen. Barack has never actually run a competitive campaign. He has, instead "cleared the field" by political machinations. He eliminated all his primary opponents by questioning their signatures and so had no contest for his seat. His Federal Senate election enabled him to run with virtually NO opposition. Jack ryan dropped out due to "someone". leaking the salacious details of his divorce and the GOP flew in Alan keyes from Maryland which was the equivalent of running against a small soap dish.
Barack is always talking about "working with the GOP" and reaching across the aisle" He talks about his admiration for the GOP. Well, that is the exact opposite of Edwards. Edwards himself said, after he withrew that he didn't think "Barack was enough of a fighter". Remember how John was going to go after the heath care and insurance industries and the corporations? In Iowa, Barack announced he would "guarantee those people a seat at the table". John said "you never give them a seat at the table.they eat all the food" and he was right. Michelle Obama is a corporate attorney who is employed by the health care industry to represent them. Part of the Obama's family worth stems from the very victims they claim to want to help. This isn't like a hedge funds. She represents those people in court, and not one person is suggesting her employment is unacceptable as she talks of health care. Speaking of health care, Hillary did steal John's and now I am glad she did. It is at least one way to make it happen. Hillary is the only candidate that care about heath care left. When does Barack speak about it? He actually isn't in favor of universal health care. Hillary has much better bonafides on health care, which is a big issue for me. She tried and failed to bring it about in the 90's, but at least she tried. When Barack had health care as an issue, in Illinois he folded to the lobbyist interest.
Hillary has fought for "change all her life. From her ground breaking speech against the Vietnam war when she was valedictorian at Wellesley, to her stand on health care, to her fight for women's rights as human rights all around the world and her intervention for the rights of children and the elderly. She also stood up to the RW spin machine and fought for her husband's reputation and her own,She is having to stand up and fight the raw sexism and bigotry of the Obama machine even now.
Barack is not capable of bringing any kind of change to government because he doesn't even know what change is. he has stated the efforts of the 60's in civil and human rights mean "nothing" to him. He has never even caused any positive change to take place in his state let alone a nation. He is the very definition of the Daly machine politician and wants to bully his way into office. He doesn't offer "hope" . He offers worse than status quo politics. He offers us a very similar politician to Bush who also said he was a "uniter." Obama wasn't able to reach out once and accomplish anything in his 2 years in the Senate, though he had some great opportunities. His fellow legislators in Illinois claim he didn't do mit there either .Hillary has some notable accomplishments of working with the other side and getting things done even as we were in the minority.
I didn't start out, as you know, supporting Hillary.I was very hard on her but at this point, and at this time, she is the ONLY candidate that can is able to bring "real" change to this nation.
