"There is the issue of who would be allowed to vote in the primary. The Michigan Democratic and Republican parties will learn in two weeks if a federal judge will allow the secretary of state's office to give them lists of who voted in the January primary and which ballot -- Democratic or Republican -- they took.
Those lists would be used to keep anyone who voted in the Jan. 15 Republican primary -- even if they were a Democrat or independent -- from voting in the do-over Democratic election"
"Back in January, the exit polls indicated that there were about 60,000 Dems that crossed over to vote in the Republican primary. Those aren't 60,000 Clinton supporters - it's almost certainly mostly people who would have voted for Obama or Edwards, had they had the chance.
The problem is that there's no real way to argue that they should be able to vote in a re-do primary. They've already declared themselves as Republicans and voted in that primary, so they don't have any right to claim that they should also get to vote in the Democratic primary.
This would be a clear win for the Clinton campaign, but it would come at the expense of the Democratic party as a whole. This entire fiasco has angered many Michigan Dems, and this news is guaranteed to piss off another 60,000.
It's also bad for the progressive blogosphere and for this site in particular, since they campaigned for people to cross over. I didn't that was a good idea at the time, but in retrospect, it looks even worse"

Wow, did Kos encourage cross-over voting to skew our own primaries?
