Hillary Clinton spoke to the United States Hispanic Chamber of Commerce in Washington, yesterday.

As Hillary Rodham Clinton woos superdelegates by trying to make the case that she is winning the big Democratic-leaning states, she and her campaign are doing all they can to secure those discounted votes in Florida and Michigan.

And she made that case again today, during her talk before United States Hispanic Chamber of Commerce in Washington . . . veering off the topic of small businesses to stress how citizens in those two states deserve a political voice.

Mrs. Clinton’s speech came just after her campaign manager, Maggie Williams, sent a letter to David Plouffe, Barack Obama’s campaign manager, urging that their rival teams cooperate on giving Florida and Michigan voters a say in the nominating process.

full feed:

"If you are a voter from Florida or Michigan, you know that we should count your vote. The nearly 2.5 million Americans in those two states who participated in the primary elections are in danger of being excluded from our democratic process, and I think that’s wrong. The results of those primaries were fair, and they should be honored.

Over the last few weeks there has been a lot of discussion about what we should do to ensure that the voters in Florida and Michigan are counted. In my view there are two options: Honor the results or hold new primary elections.

I don’t see any other solutions that are fair and honor the commitment that two and a half million voters made in the Democratic primaries in those two states. Whether voters are clamoring for solutions to the challenges that we face or not, or whether people are coming out in droves to be heard, we have a basic obligation to make sure that every vote in America counts.

I hope that Senator Obama’s campaign will join me in working to make that happen. I think that that is a non-partisan solution to make sure that we do count these votes."

5. Let's see how it plays out. It's kind of like buying a house, you throw down a number then the other
side counters. I think Obama is just playing it safe to save his campaign, he has to compromise. Also, I think that the DNC by laws may not allow this. Didn't Dean say whatever happens has to be approved by the ? committee or abide by the DNC by laws. I'm not sure if the 50/50 split will work in either case.

7. Yes, great to see you here, bigtree!
You always find the BEST pics of Hillary as well as informative stories.

I hope the two camps can get together to resolve the FL & MI issues. I think there's a lot of bargaining going on behind the scenes...at least I hope so.

si se puede about 500 times and think thats good enough to have the Latino vote fall in line. I am proud the Latino community mainly supports Clinton.
