I really stirred up a storm with posting the wright comments on GDP. Best part, they are having real
trouble defending them. I have pointed out Barack "chose ' this church and has attended for 20 years. Wright married Michelle and barack. He baptized their children. The great think is barack is quoted by Brian Ross on ABC as saying that he soesn't find his church "controversial" LOL!

2. Good job, saracat
Also, Barack not only chose the church, he gave Wright special status in his book. He's not just a pastor, he's a friend and mentor.

3. Same here, I was cheering you on. You did a great job and unfortunately these
folks don't realize that this could take down the whole democratic side of the race.

4. A for bravery, as usual.
It's time for Obama to quote Gary Hart, "let's go home."

5. Some of these people truly have no clue
how bad has the potential to be. One posted something like "My mom says shit like that all the time! Doesn't mean I'm like her!" Duh. Or the ones who post how right he is. Well, good luck with that attitude getting votes for the GE. It looks like a handful at least seem to get how bad this is. But not too many.

10. I read that and found it creepy
so many say "I agree 100%". I can't agree with anyone 100% that preaches such hate.

13. Imagine if the tables were turned
and a David Duke racist quote
was supported and a 'fan' thread
started for him? It would be down
the memory hole so quick it would
not be funny. It is not OK to be
racist against African-Americans
but it is OK to be racist against
Whites reading some of the posts
in GDP. One poster states that with
all the racism African-Americans have
put up with, White people have no right
to speak out against racism against
whites.

11. That preacher is scary!
He looked like Beelzebub himself when I saw him waving around his arms. He probably had spittle running down the sides of his mouth.

And that was OBAMA!

12. Obama TALKS about unity and moving beyond race. Why does he go to a racist church then?
The hypocrisy will hurt him as much as Wright's words. This is just the latest example of Obama's hypocrisy on the heels of NAFTAgate and Power admitting his Iraq platform is "just words"...

16. Too bad all of this didn't come out earlier in the primaries though...
I fear we're going to be stuck with him as the nominee, and no matter how much the Obama supporters on DU scream it & want to believe it, I have high doubts that he can beat McCain in the GE.

15. I can't believe the defenses I've read of this preacher, all for the sake of Obama
I might be able to understand that some folks may well share those views. What I don't understand is how these folks think his rhetoric will or should get a pass in this campaign.

One poster comes on and goes, calm down. It looks like a potential meltdown to me.
