Pro-Hillary Writers "On Strike" At DailyKos
There's a movement afoot by prominent pro-Clinton diarists at Dailykos.com.

Writes Alegre, in what is now the featured post on the site, one of the founding sound boards of the Democratic netroots movements:

"We are going on strike and taking our writing elsewhere. When and if our beloved community is once more a focal point for Democratic election discussions, we will gladly return." Alegre has set up "The American Federation of Concerned Bloggers (AFCB)" and has enlisted at least three dozen bloggers.

He writes:

.....Daily Kos and Markos himself no longer adhere to this purpose of electing Democrats. Daily Kos has become an Obama community and discussion of other Democrats is not welcome. We Clinton supporters are continually attacked and even threatened. The atmosphere has become so poisonous that we could do nothing else but take our discussions elsewhere. Places like MyDD.com where Clinton and Obama supporters chat without name calling. Heated discussions sometimes, but we tend to stay respectful of our fellow Democrat's opinions. Our post is currently up on the Recommended List so we must have tapped into something a lot of others have been feeling for quite some time. The post has generated more than 1100 comments, many of them supportive. ( Finally Someone Fingers the Bolsheviks) Some of them are not. (Not I Clinton has tarnished the word progressive.)

Who Hillary Clinton is and what she represents has been THE debate among Democratic activists for years. It is now THE national debate. The Democratic Party may well come together and support its nominee. But the debate about Clinton, her (and his) politics, the legacy, the tactics -- will endure.

.....sound familiar?

3. Any writer associated with kos and with a conscience
should walk. First time to post here and thank Herman Munster for letting me know of this place. Been in the du-primaries battling those obama folks they themselves seem to be fighting mental health.

From all I gather kos too was flashing a so called photo of obama and saying it had been doctored by the hrc campaign. If my eyes did not deceive me, and I affirm if you look close, that isn't even the same picture. In the one picture, his mouth is closed - in the other it's open. If someone on Hillary's staff darkened the picture, why did they add more teeth? It's not the same picture. I'm assuming kos wants to spread that lie as far as it would go.

Why is every Hillary slur assumed to be true - even when things don't add up? If she's a racist, why do they have to fake the evidence?

5. Welcome to the HRC forum, BenDavid!
I can't stand to go "out there". It's good to see new faces here and if you see other HRC supporters that don't post here, pass it on!

:hi:

I read an article discussing that video and the "darkening" on factcheck.org. Here is the link if you are interested:

several days of photo crap out there as you know and yes it is kos.
i have noticed several things the obamafans are bringing from kos just to thrump on the hillary folks! and from rush and hannity--you name it. use to be RW crap was taboo. not any more!

i have not been to kos in several months.

Every thing is blamed onto the hillary campaign. there is no reasoning to it at all. they just do it cause they can!

6. Hi, Mass Dem
Maybe we can combine our threads. I post on Hillary's Voices as well.

I loved Tom Watson's comments and his turning up other even-handed blogs:

7. Sounds Good
Now if people would just do that at Huffington Post. Not the same setup, but if posters would stop posting. They have had some very transparent negative articles against Hillary and are almost all pro-Obama.

9. Kos is also driving out the reasonable Obama supporters.
Not all Obama folk are like the kool-aid drinkers from GDP. Some actually know the guy's positions, prefer them and can discuss them rationally, without name-calling. A friend of mine in that faction is about done with Kos because he says it's just impossible to have a conversation with the crazies.

He also thinks Obama's toast, btw, thanks to his assoicaiton with Rev. Wright.

I have another forum that we can use. It's not in use right now and is pretty much just a backup but it works very much like D.U. and is already up and running.

18. I'll just post it here.....
nobody is using the forum right now but you can check it out......we actually have another board with it's own domain now and I would invite everyone there but it's been taken over by Obama fans as well. I'm one of the admins and I haven't posted there in almost a month.

http://s6.invisionfree.com/Headwaters_Forums/index.php?act=idx

or I can always set up a Hillary Clinton forum with InvisionFree.

16. ** Read this--sounds just like gd-p!!

I’ve noticed this tendency among progressive bloggers as well myself. They’re increasingly rude. It seems that they have decided that Republicans and the Clintons are the enemy. That’s also one of the reasons that I think that Obama’s movement is more about personality and is more liberal, than many moderates think and want to believe. These progressives are turning into little Hitlers for Obama.

Alegre is also angry because he noticed that Markos et al. don’t do anything to force progressive Obama supporters to behave like adults. Instead, Markos has become increasingly anti-Clinton and pro-Obama himself, Alegre writes. Daily Kos isn’t a “progressive community” anymore, it’s a pro-Obama community.
And how does Markos react to the ’strike?’ That’s right, by showing that he’s in reality one arrogant son of a gun: “First, these people should read up on the definition of ’strike.’ What they’re doing is a ‘boycott.’ But whatever they call it, I think it’s great. It’s a big Internet, so I hope they find what they’re looking for.”
