Saw My First Obama Yard Sign
I had to travel to my old
home town here in NC a few
days ago to look for some
car parts for a car I am
currently restoring. As
I was driving through the
residential area my folks
stay in, I came to a stop
light. Sitting there while
it was red, I was looking
around at the old neighborhood...
and lo and behold...the morning
after Obama's big speech....
there was a campaign sign...

:wow:

lying on the trash pile of raked
up leaves on the curb for the city
trash pick-up.

:rofl::rofl::rofl:

This is a true story. :hi:

1. Oh, gawd, CJ! That was GOOD!
Needed a good laugh this a.m.

Is this a harbinger of things to come? Of things happening NOW? I hope so, on both counts!

I keep coming back to some comments of yours that have stayed with me - about keeping the faith, and about the seeds of doubt having been planted about BO's sanctity. Thank you for your morale boosts - look forward to all your posts, ya know.

And this is one of the best anecdotes I've read yet!

:yourock: :kick:

2. My daughter and I
just cracked up when we
realized what we were seeing
and the implications of that
here in NC.

DU is just another Obama cyber
bubble. They do not reflect the
masses and from the local talk
around, not many were impressed
by Obama's speech.

3. That is very, very good news. Let the implosion continue. The bigger
the better.

If she could pull off NC that would be amazing

Edwards will be on Leno tonight and The Time mag editor said he

would endorse Hillary before the NC primary. So it might be interesting tonight

4. Yes it is good news.
Hopefully symbolic of
many peoples' shift away
from O.

5. Our neighbors across the street have taken down their Obama sign.
It was up on Sunday and down on Wednesday.

Weird, huh?

6. It is telling.
The cyber blog world only
represents about 22% of the
voting population. It is
not a relevant comparison
point to compare what the
bloggers think to the general
public.

9. Ha, ha! Thanks for the story. Kinda reminds me of some of my
Bush lovin' neighbors. Over the past four years or so, the neighborhood has gone from lots of vehicles and homes decked out with I Support Our Troops and Our President, Annoy a Liberal, etc., ubiquitous yellow ribbons, W04, and so on. There are like three diehards still "flyin' the flag" but most of them quietly took down the signs. I wish I could have seen one of them on a garbage heap like you did though!

11. Anytime.
Yeah, I went from seeing umpteen
'W' stickers to a rare one now and
then here in redneck repub country.
It is hard to find many that will
even admit to having voted for the
shrub.

12. He definitely took a hard hit on this one.
The Wright issue may be the
thing that kills his chances.
