Stopping by foreclosures on a teary evening

Whose house this was I think I know
His job was in automotives, though.
He will not see me stopping here
To watch old lawn weeds overgrow.

My analyst doesn’t think it queer
To sit without a mortgage near,
Between bankruptcies and underwater loans
On the darker side of a recession year.

She’d give my shoulder a hearty shake
and tell me this is no mistake.
There is no sound but the hammer pounds
as the “Bank Owned” sign is firmly staked.

This cul-de-sac is lovely, dark and deep
But I have promises to keep,
And evictions to serve before I sleep,
And evictions to serve before I sleep.

2. I find re-modelling a useful learning tool

I know it was once common for students of painting to copy the work of masters, I don't know how common it was or is for students of poetry.

But, as in this one, it helped me see Frost's technique and some of the problems he faced when imposing a discipline that I much respect and I haven't mastered.

It also gave me a better sense of what it means to stop and notice the darkness of mind that Frost may have implied for his driver.
