There once was a corporal named Leach who got assigned to clean Omaha Beach he picked up feet and hands and other loose parts from the sand and a lesson that robbed him of speech.

I have one criticism concerning line four. Consider removing "other" so that it reads "and loose parts from the sand. "Other" adds too many beats and violates the rhythm to my ear.
