“It Just Isn’t Right”
Why must dreams be lost by people Why must people’s lives be cut short What happened to the American dream It just isn’t right
Why can’t some go to college Oh how some complain about not having a good enough car or whatever But there are much more important things than that It just isn’t right
While I enjoy my post high school years having fun People are going to war and dying Dying for a mistake, dying for lies It just isn’t right
While Herndon is prospering, towns like Johnstown are dying Jobs that lasted for generations are now going overseas And for what so a CEO can have more money for himself It just isn’t right
While the debt increases worse and worse Programs to those in need are being cut Just so the tax cuts to the wealthy can be spared It just isn’t right
While the environment needs protection This administration appoints people who support destroying it Makes no sense at all, none what so ever It just isn’t right
In a country that cherishes freedom They try to ban a specific group of people from marrying each other That goes against the spirit of the American way It just isn’t right
I am lucky to have the life I got I just wish others could have the same Count my blessings when I can It just isn’t right
