Now I lay me down to sleep. A shaggy dog warms my feet. Two more are there On either side Pressing to me their hairy hide. My children all laugh At such a sight But care not I in winter's light For it dog-gone sure Is a three dog night.

1. I'm sure you have more than five more to go... |
|
everyday is a poem...we just have to slow down enough to write it down...keep it going.

back with a vengence.
I like the image of this poem - and can visualize the dogs and the speaker and the children very well. Thanks.
BTW: I've not written a poem (or tried to write a poem) in over 5 years. But I know there is something there.... it just has to find its way out....
