an extemporaneous poem
had dinner at mike's with people i like
at least four of them were in love
beef, trout and crab cakes, tex mex eggrolls
Doris -- "mama" -- ate like a champ

we drove home alone, my baby and me
and listened to crosby stills nash
she's shy about singing but she will if i do
soft harmony, "we shall be freeeeeeee"

home now with the kids, harry & richard are out
daddy's nursing his sore paw again
fed ginger, tortie, big charley -- and guest:
a raccoon with a brown snout

toby's enjoying the open window
in the office, and watching the birds
"if you let me out i'll catch you one, mom"
he begs; i say gently, "no"

supposed to be building a new web/cat site
can't concentrate on anything
tho't i'd tell all DU that i love life and had
a great night.

5. Thank you. It was fun to put together, but more fun to live it.
I will try to come around sometimes.

step carefully. When you've reached that point, censoring often gets thrown out the window. All is fine until jealously or mad curiosity brings your lover into your poetry book. Then, finds what you've written is usally true and not fluff. Then what if he/she isn't shown in the light they want. I'm mean this is safe, but what if you had a "bad" day or worse though poorly of someone. :)

Anyway, I like autobigraphical. Adopting that style has just gotten me in trouble. You've nailed how it starts. ;)
