The Morning After
Tickle the facts of today's impact,
shroud the eyes of fuzzy light,
blind thyself from all in front,
and run from problems we must confront;

Into a daze of delight and rant,
spend those moments only to forget,
speak loudly, proud fully, shrewd and strong,
even display your love for incoherent song;

Time is amongst your flimsy sway,
as stars above dance a blinking dance,
laying helplessly with hand reaching above,
never to touch the dreams of love;

Waking with a pang of regret,
the waxy resin of smoke and sweat,
to wash the face of last night folly,
peer into your eyes and see you are sorry.

1. Great imagery
It's a great verbal painting of a moment in time in one's life. :thumbsup:

Thanks for sharing.
