3. gotcha

I got fired from a job after less than 6 weeks today

my DH helped me 5th step it and it wasn't my fault, but it's still a blow

...I am reminded constantly that I'm getting what I need, not always exactly what I want.

And that's probably a good thing!

That's so sweet of you!

I'm feeling very grateful and happy to be clean and sober one
more year.

I woke early up this morning, said 'hi' to my cats, made coffee
and saw it was beginning to rain ( hurray!).

Often I forget that it wasn't like that, before.
I would come to and dread trying to figure out where I was,
if I was with someone and what in the hell had I done for the
past 16-20 hours.

Fortunately, the memories of the remorse, guilt and self-loathing
are very fresh. I don't want to go back there, again.

But it's one day at a time, and with the help of my HP and great
people like you that I'm celebrating one more year, today.
