I have finally found myself a home group here in California

It is a noon meeting on Thursdays. My kind of group! I have been hitting various meetings all over my area, and just not feeling "it", yesterday I went to the noon meeting in the next city over from me, and "click", I was home!

1. too cool! I never did find a 'fit' in Phoenix

but the group here was like coming home. I'm so glad KW.

AND I just talked to the people who run the two residental treatment centers here in town and they want me to come down about a job

I never was interested in getting into the 'recovery industry' as a newbie, but with my 15th birthday coming up I think I can 'house mother' LOL

I figured that eventually I would find a meeting that fit, since there are so many here, I just did not think it would take this long.

if I really really wanted to feel at home in a meeting I drove 90 miles to Sedona :evilgrin:

which is not to say I didn't attend meetings in AZ just that I never really found a 'home'

I'm a newbie and I don't really want to get involved in the 'recovery industry' either, but I am doing vounteer work for a non-profit that does just that. I'm behind the scenes. It gives me something meaningful to do.

The ones I use to go to have really changed,
and now I feel like the odd person out.
