I love this program and it's coincidences*
I was running a situation through my head (and running it through my head and running it through my head ARGHGHHH) about something that happened with another couple alkies today.

I did my inventory and knew my side of the street was clean, but was waiting for hubby to come home to run it by him (5th step) after calling another DU/AAer who I trusted but who wasn't home.

My phone rings and it's the man who 12 stepped me all those years ago calling to give me an update on his situation (better but still not good)

I was able to listen to him and give him my input (he said "I called you because I love and trust you, please tell me what you think") and he got to be of service by hearing my '5th step' and agreeing I had thought it through correctly. I am relived and comfortable once again in my own skin thanks to this program of action (one more time, it works when you work it!)

For all of us, this little story is a reminder that when we need something and ask with willingness for help, the Universe will bring us just what we need, just when we need it.

* coincidences are God's way of remaining anonymous ;)

1. The amazing thing is that when I stop
fighting and hand things over to my HP, what needs to happen happens. People show up in my life that need to. People that don't need to be in my life are suddenly no longer available. The money ceases to be a worry. I sleep better. I eat better. I feel better.

So the enigmatic question is this: "if it makes me feel so good, why do I struggle so hard to hang on?"

yeah, I'm not a coincidence theorist particularly. I don't know what they are, but they are not just coincidence, or if they are, the the universe has a hell of a sense of timing.

:D

2. yes, it's great
I feel like I am living in so much grace lately, that they are not just AA coincidences I'm having. I thought I had posted on this thread, but I guess not, one thing that happened to me that I thought I had posted here was that I was on a recovery forum and this woman came on there and said she had relapsed after 9 years and 6 months, and since I relapsed after 9 years and 8 months I felt like I could tell her, and mean it, that she could start over and everything would be fine.

Another really neat coincidence happened to me yesterday, not program, but I looked out the window and saw one of the cats with either a very large rodent or baby rabbit in it's mouth. I ran out the door and chased the cat into the brush and managed to get him to release the prey and I grabbed him up and started carrying him back into the yard. As I did I noticed that the side-yard gate was standing wide open, which would have allowed the two dogs to get out of the fence; I live on a very busy road which they have just lost their fear of crossing. I would not have even noticed that had I not gone out there to un-prey the cat. :)
