I am pretty negative right now...
I am at a point where I see my life crashing around me in a time of 22 years of sobriety.

Today has been the total suck egg of it all too.

I don't know what I need.

I know I don't need a drink or to get high.

First time in a long time I can't say I don't want it though.

scares me that I feel or think that way today.

1. I know things seem bleak right now.
And I also know that things may take a long time to get to an upswing, but I hope you hang in there.

I have no answers (seems like the longer I am doing this program, the more questions I have...)

5. Hi Southpaw- Kitchy and AZDem gave some good advice.
All I can add is this will pass.

I know it doesn't look like it now,
but it will.

I felt like that when my ex first moved out.
I really lost direction and purpose to anything
in my life except taking care of our son.

That changed.
And it changed for the better.

And yeah, I wanted to drink at times.
Remember, the insanity does return.
But now, we know what to do when it does.

Hang in there and stay very close to the program.
It will save your butt right now.

8. Hi!
I don't know you but I guess I do, since we are all friends of Bill W, am I right? I was going to post something here asking for help on dealing with the world in general. What with the news of the environment, the Iraq thing, *, and now people talking about bombing Iran, I feel so friggin' frustrated, like I want to FIGHT. And we know that is not something an alcoholic can do. Sometimes I think I should not come to DU and swear off the newspapers, TV and radio to preserve my serenity. Am I alone in this? What do you guys do to deal with the world?
