Well - I have a nice wine buzz going now. Am I in the right room?
Went to a psych. appt. today with a friend. (It was her appt. - not mine!) Went out to dinner afterwards, had a glass of wine, and thought about a bottle that I could open as I was driving all the way home.
Do you think this speaks to being an alcoholic? My father was.
I haven't had a glass of wine in 10 days - but have had 4 glasses tonite. I still have a 1/3 of the bottle left in the fridge - I know I could finish it, but won't.

Is this alcoholism? Or depression?

1. I don't know.
But if and when you really get worried about it, check out an AA meeting. Help is there if you decide you want it. Or, they can answer any questions you might have.

Wishing you health and well being.

2. Thank you....
It is something I think of from time to time since I had an (estranged) alcoholic father. I try to keep the wine to a minimum, but sometimes it just doesn't happen. 4 glasses in one evening is more than I should have.

3. If It Interferes With Your Life Or Your Happiness
in any way

and you find you can't stop, or stay stopped when you try

then maybe it is

the other poster's suggestion of an AA meeting (an open one preferably) would be a good place to start.

Are you depressed?
