Doing amends via Facebook is really weird.
Amazing how the digital age brings new opportunities into your life. A person found me who I hadn't thought about in years. At first I was not happy, we had a very difficult and tumultuous relationship, but after I thought about it, I realized that I had a pretty serious apology to make to this person. Growth :)

1. gee, ya think??

sorry, that was my first response to your title.

glad you had the 'opportunity for growth'

I like to look at the Traditions in Relationships and see where the toxicity was. often helps me figure out the difference between 'their stuff' and what is 'my stuff'

damned good to see ya kid, hope you and all the family are doing well

:hi:

6. What do you mean by the traditions in relationships?
Do you look at the AA traditions and use these to review past relationships?

4. Tell me about it!
When I finally hooked up with FB this summer, I searched for
a few people from my drinking days.

Well I found them, one in particular.
The passage from Step 9.
" except when to do so would injure them
or others" trumpeted through my head.

So I prayed on it- and the result was the same.

I put this person through enough hell with my drinking
and one contact post relationship.
He doesn't want to talk to me now and I don't blame him.

I'm glad you had a good outcome with your friend.

:)

Growth it is.

5. I was taught to make amends face to face (no pun intended) if, at all, possible.
