It's been a busy few months with work and the rest of life's demands. I'm still going to meetings, still struggle with God, and am still trying to forgive myself for a lot of the things that I have done. I'm eternally grateful for being given the opportunity to have recovery in my life. Many of the consequences that came with getting into recovery have been and are hard, but I realize that as difficult as they are, what would have been much worse is if they never happened and I continued living my life in oblivion and isolation.

I hope that everyone here is doing well -- I wish you all the best.

It's important to hear from someone who gets it and is doing well. I'm still working on it and share your struggles, but I'm pleased to say that I have 15 months today. :fistbump:

That's what finally worked for me. I tried, over and over, telling myself that I'd do better tomorrow. But that failed to work, over and over again. But then I finally got it, realized that today is what's important, and that I could make it work just for today. In the beginning, it was minutes and hours, as they say, but One Day at a Time is what's worked for me, 457 of them, so far... ;) :hi: :pals:
