I couldn't, God could, I worked to get out of the way so it would work. I've been quite the dry drunk in the meantime, so I encourage you to work this fearlessly for the maximum benefit!

For the newcomer: This Works, one day at a time. One week, one month, one year, seven years, are all the result of doing this one day at a time. One day at a time adds up, and more is revealed. As you experience these things, the Big Book shows up in a different way. The book is based upon experiences, and as you gain your own experience, it is as some have said, "They put new things into the book since I last read it!" :D

If you decide this is what you need, please stick with it. If you find something else which works for you, hold on to it for dear life. My best to everyone and most of all, my gratitude to my higher power.

I once sent the instructions on how to do this to a fellow DUer who was high on Vicodin after dental surgery and he thought I was messing with his head... Yikes! ;)

I have just received my 2 year AA coin. We had a nice celebration meeting that I shared with a friend of mine who received his 1 year coin. My best friend who has helped me so much in my recovery sat with me, and shared this experience with me. I hope to continue on "one day at a time". Thank you for the inspiration of years of sobriety :D
