I've been stepping down with my pain management doctor, and it hasn't been easy (the rumors that I'm doing this sans doc are untrue)

Used to be, on opiates (Morphine + Norco) I could just exhale and feel that 'warm happy place' even when stepping down.

Now its gone - Ive hit the point where when I exhale, I just exhale.

Light is starting to hurt my eyes, and my back, well let's just say I use a cane now and then to get up from a seated position without pain.

1. Standard response, IIRC, of AA is "we're not doctors".
Excepting those who of course are also doctors. Ahem..

There's a pamphlet on the subject, obtainable through contacting the main offices.

I'm not an authority. Call the central offices and find out more.
