14 years ago today I didn't drink at my last bartender shift
I went to a noon AA meeting the next day and by the Grace of God and the fellowship and program of Alcoholics Anonymous I haven't had a drink or drug since.

:woohoo: :bounce:

1. Congratulations AZDem!
 :bounce: :woohoo:

:gets out the coffee and donuts:

I'm wildeyed and I'm an alcoholic. I just wanted to say, life is so amazing. I am in the same time frame as you. When I got sober 15 years ago, I never never never would have guessed how great my life would become or the interesting twists it would take. Quite an adventure! Congratulations on 14 years of sobriety, one day at a time! :bighug:

8. LOL! I was amazed at how much sugar I craved -
I'd always been able to pass up cake & cookies. What a surprise to learn that I'd been getting my sugar with the "liquid diet"!

10. I think the lure of birthday cakes kept me coming back for awhile -
I sobered up about 100 miles from you - in Sedona. Pulled a geographic and moved from Washington, DC. Those red rocks worked their magic and I now "trudge the road of happy destiny." :)

11. I actually got sober in Sacramento CA and the meetings in Sedona
are the best! when the meetings around here get me down with their "other BigBook" christian crap I head up the hill for a dose of a spiritual program
