Just joined Weight Watchers
I posted this in the Lounge and u4ic invited me over here to post. I have quite a bit of baby fat to lose-unfortunately the baby is in school now and there are no excuses.
I chose WW because my cousin lost almost 140 lbs w/ them almost 8 years ago. I don't have anywhere near as much to lose as her and figured, if she could do it I could too.

4. Thank you!
This first day has been hard. Right now I work in a large kitchen. Lots of food am, of course, I'm in charge of all desserts. Desserts are my downfall and today was a big test of my willpower.
I passed.

3. I've beeen in WW for one month and I love it
I've lost 13 pounds and I've eaten chocolate every day. I don't feel at all deprived and my bladder is finally adjusting to all of the fluid I consume each day! Good luck and let us know how you are doing!! And by the way, did your cousin keep the weight off?

6. She kept it off until this last year.
She had a baby in November and gained some weight but nowhere near as much as before.
From what I understand, she's planning on rejoining the program.

7. That's great!
I've lost 43 lbs. so far with WW since the end of May. I've been in the doldrums, loss-wise for a few weeks, (gained 1 1/2, lost 2, gained 1/2, gained 1, lost 3.2) but am feeling good now. I'm going for a colonoscopy this week (blech!) so I expect that a day's liquid diet will be helpful in losing a bit more.

9. My husband and I did it for a few weeks last spring
however, vacations got us off track and we never pushed ourselves back on. We started again seriously Saturday and I am psyched! We were so tempted with fajitas Sunday, and both decided we're sick of saying 'we'll start tomorrow' so we passed on tortillas. We mixed chicken, fajita seasoning, peppers, lettuce, and salsa and made fajita soup. It was so yummy and only 6 points; we just ate with a fork instead of wrapping it in a tortilla. If we can behave with fajitas, we can behave with anything!!!

I'm not going to meetings because I have the books from my mom and we have a treadmill that really enjoyed having the dust cleaned off this weekend. Our goal is about 15 pounds each so don't be suprised to find me here often looking for support!

I'll cross my fingers for you xmas74; it can be done!!!

:hi:

10. Thank you!
And good luck to you!
So far I've had a hard time keeping up w/ all the points. It seems like I'm constantly eating yet I know I'm losing weight-I've already lost a couple of pounds.

11. You just reminded me of another great way to eat fajitas --
use lettuce leaves instead of tortillas. Yummy! :)

13. Tortillas
Check out the options at the grocery. La Tortilla brand has a 1 point whole wheat tortilla.

12. I am a
lifetime Weight Watcher, and have recently returned. You can do it! It may not be the program for everybody, but it is the program for me. I love my meetings, that 30 minutes a week is a nice retreat from the rest of the world.

I am doing the flex plan. It is one day at the time, and no beating yourself up for having an "off" day.

Water is KEY! And also your dairy. If I don't get all my food groups in, I do make sure I have my water and my dairy. And yes, I am in the bathroom more during the day, then most people...;-)

14. The water and dairy are no problems.
I drink water constantly during the day and I like the taste of skim milk. It's the points themselves that are the problem. I have an average of 10 left over every night!

15. My leader
tells us to eat more of the foods we are eating. She is strict when it comes to eating all of your points! For example if you have a turkey sandwich for lunch, double your turkey portion. Or add another slice of cheese.

There are still some days that I have points left too, especially if I exercised more then average that day.

16. That has been my problem.
I've been full. I'm not starving by any means. I just have the problem of eating the "lighter" points and feeling full.
And I'm following the fitday site that someone put up on here too. Between my exercising and my job(I'm a baker by trade) I'm getting more daily activity in than most women get in a few weeks. The weight is melting off quickly-according to the scale, too quick.

17. That is one thing
I like about WW, I am full. And I try new things. Lately I have been making my own veggie Chinese dumplings. It is taking me a while to get the hang of them so they don't fall apart, but I am getting it down.

Keep at it, you'll find a way.

I am working my way to being a Vegan, and my points are hard to fill as well. Veggies are usually free, so I am looking for more protein alternatives.

18. And I'm a big salad person.
I get my fruit and veggie portions in every day w/ enough to fill them again! I'm not a big meat eater. My big downfall was sampling what I was baking at work. Now that I'm no longer doing that the weight is melting off.
And veggies are usually free. The fruit is pretty low in calories so I've always got quite a few points at the end of the day left over.
