9. Thanks!
It's gotta be because of all the overtime I've put in at work.

Standing on your feet for twelve hours at a time must burn many calories!

2. One pound.
I stopped in at my neighborhood diner to have some fish because I wanted to eat light. The friends I was with and I were greeted by the owner and his son with samples of smoked salmon and caviar, with small-grower champagne. Fish, yes but it put me over my points for the week. Hard to say no to all that, though, especially when someone else was paying for it. The diner owner has reclaimed this diner (he owns the building), which his father originally owned, from the jerk who was running it into the ground for 15 or 20 years. In addition to the usual diner food, which he has improved, his chef (his BIL) is great with Greek specialities and fish. Also, the owner has very expensive foodie tastes and loves to be very hospitable to his friends. The luxury items were bought for his own family's consumption but he wanted to share with us to get our opinion.
I was REALLY grateful to have lost that pound after all that.

5. 1 down is WAY better than 1 up!
Love life and live it to the fullest! That diner sounds wonderful to me. Smoked salmon is one of my most favourite foods!

10. I wasn't going to weigh until March 1 but
I noticed a belt that I bought recently to wear with low-rise jeans is now too big, even after Mr. Longhorn punched some extra holes in it. So just for the heck of it, I jumped on the scales today, MID-DAY, mind you, not first thing in the morning before I've eaten anything, and I have lost 2.6 pounds since Monday, the 13th. So I'm down a total of eight pounds since I started January 3. Not amazing results but a downward trend, just the same. :)

11. what a great feeling when 'things' just don't fit anymore!
8 pounds off is better than 8 pounds on! I think you're doing so well. Congratulations :woohoo:

I have been having trouble deciding what size I am. I grabbed a pair of jeans off the shelf in the store thinking they would be a perfect fit, size 12, being as the 14's I was wearing are too big, ...well seems I should have bought the size 10!
The 12's are a tad too big, but I'm thinking they might shrink up a bit in the wash,.. they aren't TOO huge, so they'll do. I hate returning things.
