What's worked and what hasn't worked?
Me..I started with Slim Fast when I was about 10 or 11..I wasn't even heavy then, I don't know what I was doing messing around with that stuff.
Next I remember skipping meals and doing some diet out of Women's World..not good.
Then, I gained a bit of weight one year, successfully lost it with Weight Watchers (approx. 20 lbs!) Didn't pay any mind to maintenance and eventually gained it all back.
Then I did Jenny Craig which was working, but I was doing the by mail version and had delivery problems that I let frustrate me..then I just got sidetracked.
Then I tried this plan where you build your calories up over a 10 week period to fire up your metabolism then you taper them back down to lose weight. The theory made sense to me..I think I made it about 8 weeks..I was stuffed and bloated with food and had gained 10 lbs. I quit because at 5'3" my weight had gone from 149 to 159 and I couldn't mentally handle it going to 160. Thankfully the weight dropped back down when I stopped the program. It was just a profound waste of time.
Next I went to the listening to your bodies hunger signals school of thought. Just maintained.
Next I tried eDiets, which was working for me, but I had to customize it so I wouldn't wind up with leftover food (no one else around to eat it). I think I got lazy on this program and I got busy which just sidetracked me.
Now I'm back to Jenny Craig, which is a very no-brainer program and very convenient..I'm going to the center, so no problems getting my food. And I'm going to succeed this time!
