Many years ago I was on the Food Addicts(FA) Diet which was an off shoot of Overeaters Anonymous. FA insisted that bread and wheat products be eliminated completely from the diet. They suggested that all processed foods be cut out and also any "binge food". My binge foods include frosting, popcorn, cheese, buttery rice, 3 Musketeers, M&M's, Ice Cream and many others. I quit the FA group because I found them to be too rigid.
Now, in the past year, my Dr tells me I have Celiac Disease and cannot eat wheat or wheat products. I feel like I have come full circle and realize that FA diet was right for me. I do need to cut out most high carb and all processed food. Kimkins is close to the old FA diet and it did work, "if I worked it!". Kimkins is a simple to follow version of Atkins and it gives many people as speedy a weight loss as Stomach bypass surgery, without the dangerous side effects of that operation.
If anyone wants to join me please chime in and post about your progress....and setbacks. I plan to KISS (keep it simple Simon) and not let my normal backsliding stop me. I had to try 5 times before I was able to quit smoking, so I am going to keep trying until I get it right with food.
Even if you are not going to to do Kimkins, please post here your meal plan, minutes of excercise and how you stop the stinking thinking and get through the rough times, like birthday parties and Christmas. I'd like to hear what Food Plan you are on and how it is going.
If you are interested,
The Kimkins diet has an initial start up fee of $60.00 for life time membership, but that is a drop in the ocean of what I've spent on binge food and Diet Programs.
Kimkins I am not making money from the Kimkins program, so this is really not spam.
