I'm becoming a believer in the sleep apnea theory.
Since we talked about sleep apnea, I have gotten rid of a couple of pillows I used to sleep propped up on (because I read or watch TV) and I now lie flat on a single pillow to sleep. I use a body pillow because I like it.

Anyway, I've been doing that for about two weeks, and i've dropped five pounds. :wow: Without doing a single thing. :wow: So, I'm going to see just how far this will take me down the scale. My tummy is noticeably smaller than it was two weeks ago.

And yes, I feel more energetic in the morning.

1. cool
I've dropped some pounds recently and now am more comfortable with just one pillow and my sleep at night has become much more restful and improved. I think it's a combination of losing the weight and sleeping on the one pillow.

Have you ever used Melatonin before bed? It's supposed to be a natural sleep hormone that we lose as we age.

2. Hey Lex,
I haven't tried melatonin, but I might consider it because I've reached the age where I now get some insomnia along with the PMS. x(

I do sleep better when I exercise, compared to when I don't. So I need to keep up with it for that alone.

sorry for the slow response, I've had rag induced insanity this week.

3. The FDA has actually approved a pillow for mild sleep apnea.
More info on that and other resources here:

I went to see the pulmonologist on Thursday about my possibly having sleep apnea and am increasingly surprised at how common it actually is. I think increased education and awareness is really helping many people. Good luck - hope your successful results continue!!!
