I have been on a weight loss journey lately -- 8 weeks into Weight Watchers and about 10-12 weeks into a regime of fairly regular exercse.
Last week I was really discouraged. My "weigh-in" showed zero weight loss for one week. But this week was better: I was down 1.6 pounds. That's a total of 15.8 pounds since I started 8 weeks ago.
It has been slow, but pretty much steady. On my best week, I lost 4 pounds. On my worst, I stayed even.
Now if I can just lay off the stuffing and fruitcake over the holidays... we'll see.
My Weight Watchers group leader says that some people "give themselves permission" to gain back 5 pounds over the holidays. But my goal will be to at least stay even the week of Thanksgiving, lose weight up till Christmas week, and then stay even again.
It'll be hard. But I really don't want to gain back anything now. It's too soon and I still have too far to go. Is this unrealistic?
