by following this basic change in diet. Frequent meals, high protein, practically no processed (and grain-based) carbs, only veggies and some fruits for carbs, raw nuts for snacks, and drinking over 2 liter water a day. I eat eggs, cheeses, fish, meats, nuts, whey powder, some dried beans, and some tempeh/tofu once or twice a week. I also eat plenty of fats and have no hunger like I used to on many other diets.
Drinking the water has helped me a lot I think, but took some time to build up to this quantity.
I also allow myself a free choice weekend every 2 weeks to eat the things I used to love, but I've noticed that I am starting to choose the more healthy lower carb meals and snacks naturally and have far less cravings for the higher carb foods.
With daily walks, this is allowing me to lose weight slowly and in a very healthy manner. Most importantly, with NO hunger or feeling of deprivation (after I got over the high carb cravings)
During the holidays I gained a pound or 2, but know that when I return to my simpler low carb eating I'll be back in the losing mode once again. I hope to lose 11 more kilos before my birthday in March.
I feel so much better after this initial weight loss, and look forward to further gains in my health, appearance and confidence.
Keep up the good plan that works best for you!
