Hi y'all. I'm back again. Time to lose weight, AGAIN. I am really good at losing weight. Unfortunately, I am also really good at putting it back on. I think I have lost 40-65 pounds 5 times in my lifetime. Time to drop 40 yet again. I guess I can say, at least I didn't get up to my maximum. I just started a new job with a long commute, so I signed up with 24 Hour Fitness because I can use two locations depending on if I am going from home or after work. My new company gives us $10/month toward our membership fee if we join a gym, so that's a plus. Also, we just started a "Biggest Loser" contest at work with cash prizes, so that will be added incentive. I started at the gym and watching what I eat on January 27th, and I am down +/-10 pounds so far. I may be going to Cozumel the end of June or early July, so I want to be in the best shape I can by then.
I have toyed with the idea of buying a BodyBugg, but it is SO expensive, and then you still have to pay monthly too. There are cheaper devices, but they don't measure everything that the bugg does. I can't afford it this month anyway. I'll reassess next month.
I have been having EAS shakes for breakfast, salad with some meat and cheese for lunch, and then cooking at home for dinner. I usually top out around 1200-1600 calories. I am not hungry. My problem is not with physical hunger, but desire for comfort food. I am a stress eater. No sooner had I reached a really good weight, than the threat of layoffs came at work... then hurricane Ike.... then I DID get laid off due to the hurricane. Luckily I managed to find a job before my pay ran out, but basically I put back most of the weight I'd worked hard to lose because eating yummy stuff made me feel good. :-/
So, here I am again, starting over, and once again professing that "this time it's going to be for good!"
Kudos to all of you who are working so hard. Your posts are inspiring! :pals:
