Any milestones?

Setbacks?

Smilies?

How's it going out there?

1. More of a standing still
right now.

Spent the past month at the same weight and slacked off the gym totally because I started eating the two things I can't: wheat and milk. Wheat products give me depression. Ugh.

I've been off the wheat now for about 5 days and feel much more energetic again. I even went back to the gym. Yay!

Lost some muscle tone but no weight gain. :woohoo: Even with the dating odyssey of visiting restaurants with my "gotta overeat now" SO. :eyes:

So, just picking up where I left off a month ago.

:hi: aA!

2. Lost a solid 13 lbs. over 4 weekly weigh-ins in July.
I've started a journal on Dr. McDougall's website. It's not a place where you need to have a donor star to post, and the community is made up of people who are all trying -- and succeeding! -- with the same dietary approach.

I'm Ege Bamyasi over there because I wanted to name myself after a different album by a different band. :)

Please feel free to visit me over there. You don't need to sign in and respond to anything; rather, just let me know about it here.

4. I'm doing...okay
basically I'm in a rut, again. I haven't done any routine exercise since roughly, the 10th of May. The plateu I hit earlier this year, really but the screws to me, and I gave up.

When I gave up I was roughly 343 or so, and I'm back up to 354, so I haven't gained much back. I hope to get back on the horse this coming Monday....

I was 407 last August, and hit 347 or so on Xmas eve, and since then, I've been on a plateau, and I quit in early May...

5. I am in the midst of the longest plateau ever...
stuck at -48 for 6 weeks now. Along with eating less, I have walked most of it off. My doctor says I need to shake it up a bit, concentrate on speed, rather than distance. I have trouble walking fast, but I'll give it a shot and see what happens. Would love to drop another 20 pounds by Christmas.

6. Hey auntA
I had my sleeve gastrectomy and have gone from 359 to 155 in roughly 2 1/2 yrs overall. Smartest thing I ever did.

7. Congratulations! That is really good progress indeed.
I've known a few people now whose Dr's are opting for the sleeve only with great success.

You'll not have any troubles with malabsorption and your health will thank you for it.

I had the complete procedure, went from 302 to 139 in just about a year. I'm up to an average of 143 +-5lbs given the time of month or even day!

I'm happy with my decision too.

thanks for sharing!

8. i'm plauteau'd BAD
lost 30, still have 20 to go in spite of TWO rounds of P90X!!!

we started a new 90 day program with a different trainer figuring that our bodies have adapted to the P90 trainer after a year.

missing a few workouts too, since we are doing a MAJOR rehaul on the deck and i'm wiping myself out with 'lifestuff' instead of a structured routine.

i threw out the 'eat every two hours' stuff they all insist on and went back to my 'eat when i'm hungry usually twice a day' routine that i was doing when the weight was actually coming off.

we'll see.

i haven't given up and haven't gained anything, but haven't lost anything in the last 3 months either..... but then again, i haven't stepped on a scale in about 10 days. I do know my new 'skinny' jeans weren't fitting anymore but haven't tried them in a couple weeks either.

so i'm pretty ho-hum about the process right now.......
