Today I Beat My Demon

There I was, shopping for groceries shortly before noon today, my stomach growling and my mouth watering as I passed the rotisserie chickens and bypassed the bakery. It's been a couple of weeks and I think I'm down a few pounds, but it's a long, long road ahead of me. Anyhow, I headed to my favorite spot in the store to look for bargains: the "50% Off" bin. In the past I've purchased bottles of olive oil and cans of hot peppers to stow away in the pantry, but today was different. Today was the day they cleared the DOVE CHOCOLATE with the Susan Komen cancer logo out of its display. There was a pile of bags of milk chocolate morsels a foot high. All half off. I took off on a sprint down the nearest aisle to purchase my skim milk. It was amazing. I still can't believe I bypassed half off Dove Milk Chocolate. I'm going to stay away from that store for a few days and hope the stuff is gone next trip through.
