Today I'm starting my third round (one month each round) of the Game On! Diet. It was created by some of the writers of the show Gray's Anatomy. It's a sort of dieting game you play with teams or single opponents. The points aren't actually based on weight loss, but on all the little things you do to get to a healthy weight and maintain a healthy lifestyle. It's very much about getting into the habit of living healthfully.
I'm not a real competitive person, so the will to win the game doesn't drive me so much, but I don't want to disappoint my team-mates who ARE into winning, and that has turned into ten pounds of weight loss so far. That's ten pounds that I couldn't take off any other way in the last five years or so. I hope to lose about seven more on this round. Everyone who played the game with me has lost at least ten pounds, some have lost twenty!
I just wanted to mention it here because I've had such good results. Well, I've had results, period. And that's saying something.
http://www.thegameondiet.com/ I'd love to hear from anyone who has tried it or is thinking of trying it.
