Dear Morgana,
Thanks for writing! Yes, we are developing an email list and I will put you on it.
And thanks for your interest in feminist anti-pornography activities. It's an important and exciting time to be confronting the misogyny and racism of the pornography industry, and there are several new resources available to activists.
First is the new anti-pornography slide show with a script that was developed by Gail Dines, Rebecca Whisnant and Robert Jensen. To receive of copy of the script and supplementary materials, along with the CD with the PowerPoint presentation, send us a mailing address. At the March 2007 conference in Boston we asked those who could afford it for a $5 donation to cover costs, with $2 for shipping and postage. Checks made out to "Feminists Against Pornography" can be sent to:
Gail Dines
Department of American Studies
Wheelock College
35 Pilgrim Road
Boston, MA 02215
There also are several talks online from the conference, featuring the people involved in the production of that slide show. To find that video, go to:
http://video.google.com/videosearch?q=%22feminist+antipornography%22 or type "feminist anti-pornography" into Google Video at:
http://video.google.com/ One of those speakers, Robert Jensen, also has a new book on pornography, Getting Off: Pornography and the End of Masculinity. For information about ordering, go to:
http://www.amazon.com/Getting-Off-Pornography-End-Masculinity/dp/089608776X/ref=sr_1_4/104-9426921-2621516?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1187298613&sr=1-4 There are a number of web sites with important information about the feminist anti-pornography critique and the growing movement to take back our culture. A good comprehensive site to start with is at:
http://www.againstpornography.org/ Hopefully we can build a movement to beat back the misogyny of the pornographers. I know it feels overwhelming most of the time, but we can't give up.
