I know that I cannot be the only one who gets bombarded with the same flash and still ads every time I check my email or news sites or the damned Weather Channel for crying out loud. Jiggling female dancers in re-finance ads. Young well-endowed women in sultry poses for Online Degree ads. The worst I've seen are the ads showing anime girls with big eyes where You can "dress" them or "change their hair color." I don't even recall what the hell they were selling.

Yeah, all kinds of ad placements are everywhere online these days and they're all obnoxious. But the constant reinforcement of how girls and women should look (via their presentation in these ads) is so omnipresent it would be a miracle if a real man or boy recognized a real woman or girl on the street.

Maybe it's just Rome burning.

So not only are our young women bombarded with images, they're expected to be available. One can guess from the statistic what effect it has on Men, young or old. The internet is the communications medium these days.

2. How about searching for information...

...through certain "search engines", clicking on results that seem to match the criteria you searched for, only to be bombarded by pop-ups for child pornography.

I called my husband in so he could witness it. I recall wanting to tell others, but not wanting to post about it on a board like this, for concern of enabling sick, perverse lurkers.

I honestly don't even recall now what information I was seeking. But I can assure you, it wasn't for anything related to pornography (or even children). :shrug: It's also not the first time I've looked for something on-line only to be assaulted by hideous sexist ads.

I don't even visit a certain movie site I used to like. On the sides of the pages are sexist ads for weight loss, or the usual scantily clad woman ad. :eyes:

I haven't heard of that happening. I can't believe anyone would be that blatant about child pornography. I hope they were stupid enough to get caught. :(

5. I've heard it a lot.

The ads for sex with *wink wink* young girls (or boys for that matter) and it's supposed to be all in good "fantasy fun." Unfortunately a lot of that shit is human trafficing where the females and males are lured into the "sex worker" job for a better life here in the USA.

Nobody wants to discuss it because it might dampen their jackoff.

My point in the OP is that there is an ever present SEXYFEMALE used to sell products online like home re-finance mortgages and online college education schools and that it is EVERYWHERE. Yes, I am aware that the philosophy of "Sex Sells" has been around a long time.

Here's what bothers me. Using women's bodies to allure or dismiss is a nasty business because it "trains" people about how women should behave, look, dress, or act. Right now we are in a cycle of Raygun raised folks who dismiss women as leaders.
